......1. WAT SUAN DOK,was built in 1383, this temple was constructed within the pleasure gardens for the monarchs of Lanna Thai.
WAT PRASINGH, located in the center of the city, has a large chedi built in 1345 to house the remains of King Pha Yu's father. A typical scripture repository, built to house sacred texts, is also located in the temple grounds. The Lai Kam chapel houses the revered Pha Singh Buddha image.
WAT CHEDI LUANG was originally built in 1401 and in 1454 King Tilokaraja had the chedi on the site enlarged to a height of 86 meters. Severely damaged in a 1545 earthquake, the chedi was restored in 1992 to much of former glory.
WAT CHED YOD, on the superhighway off Huay Kaew Road, near the Chiangmai National Museum. Built in 1455 by King Tilokaraja, its name translates as “Seven Spires “which decorate the top of the temple.
WAT CHIANG MAN, is Chiangmai's oldest temple,located within the walled city, King Mengrai is believed to have resided here while the city of Chiangmai was constructed, Enshrined in Wat Chiang Man is a tiny crystal figurine of Phra Setang Khamuni which is thought to have the power to bring rain . Another image called Phra Sila reflects fine craftsmanship and was probably produced in India over a thousand years ago.
